HOW TO BEGIN

SPEECH THERAPY?

Before registering for any developmental therapy session with MAGIS, a report from a developmental pediatrician is required. You may choose to schedule one at Makati Medical Center through MAGIS.

Speech therapy begins with a multi-session Initial Evaluation and an evaluative meeting with the child’s parents and the therapist. During this meeting, goals for the child’s treatment will be determined and the number of OT sessions will be recommended.

For assessment purposes and further observation, home or school visits may be recommended to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a child’s day-to-day environment. This will inform the development of an optimal speech program for the client.
